Do you know what do Americans call a party that new parents throw to introduce their baby to the nearest and dearest? A sip and see party/shower. The guests in a sip and see party clearly sip beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and see the baby while enjoying the baby's babbling.

Sip and see oh American culture lets see is good or not. yea partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I think I heard this word but I don’t know this word is American or Iranian however. Oh our parents are like that good maybe are our culture. Wooooooooow alcohol is good for party .what do you think of alcohol Sorry I have just one question does our God sent to us an other book and in it alcohol is free? Not at all. But some people say take it easy world changed and we need to make changes in our holy book and eliminate some things were unlawful. Regret

Thanks for your comment. I fully understand your feelings. I know what you are trying to share. Some Muslims who may live in different parts of the world have started behaving strangely. Ex: Female Muslims do not wear a hijab but consider themselves Muslims.
But, when it comes to learning a language we have no right to butcher it. Culture is an indispensable part a language. Familiarizing oneself with the target culture is a must.

but the thing that I like most in such occasions and ceremonies(I mean in our culture) is that elder people in the family play an important rule which gives me confidence, showing that there are still ones who are ready to assist...

They are soooooooo nice with small hands & fingers.they look so fragile im afraid to huge them but i like babys.do u know about the small hole on top of their lips under their nose?when they were born anD start to cry an angel comes and put her finger above their mouth and asKS them to be quiet and tell nothing about God secrets!!

I personally Like babies and whatever related to babies, even the customs of diferent cultures. when reading "sip and see" I was thinking about the positive side of it and despite the superficial differences among cultures and how they express their feelings I see the things common among them, that is, they admire and they are fascinated by the masterpiece of God, BABIES.
